Boat Spaces In The Club Compound

As mentioned at the AGM on Monday the boat compound is currently bursting at the seems which highlights how popular sailing has become, backed up by the increasing amount of boats on the water every Sunday.

I ease the lack spaces and increase the revenue of the club can I suggest that we consider off loading some of the drift wood currently taking up valuable spaces in the compound.

I have observed five boats which I feel could be sold to create space which are not currently used they are as follows: International 470, a privately owned Enterprise which I beleive fee's have lapsed, The Bon Witco, The Dory and the Rhana.

Whilst I except the boats have varing values the revenue on the spaces alone would create an additional £300 a year and create much needed spaces in the compound. With these points in mind I respectfuly request that this matter is put to the comitee for a democratic disscussion and the outcome of the decision is announced in the near future.

I would be more than willing to assist in the sale and removal of these boats if required.

Kind Regards

Farren Goding.

  • Yes, this point has been raised by a few members of the club and now space is becoming short something will have to be done about it.
I will put it on the agenda for the next committee meeting.

    Thanks Farren

  • Hi Faz i have asked about this subject before, not had much success, I will bring it up again at the next committee meeting.
May be worth asking other members so that if challenged we can reinforce the approach we take. Afterall its a Club with many members. Thanks for taking the time and interest
    Dave.
