Patio surface

We are trying to improve the presentation and facilities generally at the club and it was thought a good ideal to improve the surface of the patio area especially as we shall shortly be having new furniture there. Artificial grass or a tennis court carpet surface have been considered, but discounted because our feathered friends might find it too attractive. Paving or decking would remain an option but as a first attempt we are going to apply a non-slip paint. The choice of colours is as shown. Feel free to comment on your preferences though it will probably come down to a choice between green (safe) and blue (funky), but I could be wrong...

  • For technical reasons a quick fix of "non slip" paint in this situation is not possible.
The original concrete surface was treated with a silicon sealant ,when the existing surface was applied it could not adhere. If we repaint the surface then due to the insufficent fall moisture will lay on the surface and lead to the formation of organic growth in the summer or ice in the winter. The best treatment is to clean off the paint and let the surface weather naturally assisted by sweeping with a bass brush. • I never new concrete was so techinical?

Why don't we just leave it and get the outside of the building finnished first as the patio is mostly used as an additional boat space park at present?
