Team Victory at the Annual Abingdon Match Sat 22nd

The Sutton SC team came a very respectable second place well done to all.
A great day considering the weather conditions, just the normal no wind, Thunder, Lighting & Heavey Rain, a huge thanks the Abington Team for making the effort and putting in a great team for the event, look forward to the rematch next year.
A big thanks to Dave& Joy Batsford for organising it and to Graham and the team for the marvelous catering, last but not least thanks to the members for providing the boats and turning up and having a go. I can safely say the boyency tanks on JW ent are fine and it passed its floatation test with flying colours.
Once again thanks to all involved.
Regards
Faz

  • Is this a clever way of saying that we lost and that you capsized my boat on a windless day?

  • Saying we lost is very negative JW, embrace the power of positive thinking.

  • Yes, sorry Faz, you are correct - we did very well. I suppose that you also learned a lot about the temperature of the water, the amount of green algae and, of course, that my boat still floats when lying on its side.

Team Racing is about sailing as a team and not an indivdual, fancy sailing one of your team members over the line at the start!
