Old Windsurfer (boat) Required

Thanks mainly to the prodigious efforts of Ute, the club passed the RYA Annual Inspection yesterday and the club procedures have now been updated in line with the latest RYA requirements.

There were one or two very minor recommendations but one relates to the RYA Safety Boat Course that we offer. This should include training on rescuing Windsurfers. As windsurfing does not take place on Powell's Pool we do not cover this in the course but, as was pointed out, the Certificate that we issue implies that we have covered the complete course and could be used elsewhere.

So, we need an old windsurfer that we can use for the course. If anyone has one that they don't need anymore or that they could loan the club from time to time, then please contact Chris Davis.
