HELP NEEDED
Having read Dave's review of the Merlin Open and the disappointing attendance etc etc.......
It got me thinking about the amount of work that a small few put into the club to make it what it is today and lets face it, look how far we have come and what's been achieved in the last 12 months.
Then I got to think well, are members afraid to ask to help so they don't tread on any ones toes?
Then I thought have the few actually asked for any help?
Then I thought does any one know what actually goes on behind the scenes?
So here we go:
We currently have the xmas party and a news years party to organize.
We are currently seeking new people to become instructors to help run the courses.
After racing, running the bar for an hour just to help out and give some of the others a break.
Winter first Wednesday evenings of the month, if any one fancies running a social evening?
Help needed on Dave's work parties.
The club boats could do with a day of cleaning and maintenance.
The topper fleet need help with their on going training program.
The simplest one, turning up for your duty, yet again members were deprived of sailing on Sunday as other members hadn't turned up for their duty.
This is not a moan but a simple request for some help.
It doesn't matter how big or small, whether it be running the bar for an hour or project managing an event, every bit helps and that's what makes a club.
Thanks
Faz

Good one, Faz, but too be fair, quite a few members do make a good input. It is just those that don't that we would like to make aware that, as Paul says, the Sailing Club is not a service but a club, which will only be a good one if we all work together.
