Team Victory at the Annual Abingdon Match Sat 22nd

The Sutton SC team came a very respectable second place well done to all.
A great day considering the weather conditions, just the normal no wind, Thunder, Lighting & Heavey Rain, a huge thanks the Abington Team for making the effort and putting in a great team for the event, look forward to the rematch next year.
A big thanks to Dave& Joy Batsford for organising it and to Graham and the team for the marvelous catering, last but not least thanks to the members for providing the boats and turning up and having a go. I can safely say the boyency tanks on JW ent are fine and it passed its floatation test with flying colours.
Once again thanks to all involved.

"THE BIG VOTE"

As both JW and I endeavour to deliver "probably the best sailing club web site in the world" we have come up with a difference in preference which needs to be settled by you the club members.
The predicament is simply this: as a frustrated artist/photographer I personally prefer to display my photographs in black & white, whilst JW likes to see them in vibrant colour.
Option one: Black & White
Option: Two Colour
Option one or option two we can't decide it is up to you.
Please place a vote by clicking the "comments" link on this posting and state your name and preference.
The casting vote will determine future photos displayed.
Thanks For Participating.
Faz & JW.

The Usual Suspects......................

Once Again the SSC TF out on the weekend ready to kick sum.

Be Afraid, Very Afraid..........................

Topper Open

Today 6 of us went to the Topper Open at Manor Park.

It was boiling hot and there wasnt much wind.

We took part in three races. Two to count.

In the first race our highest position was James Hill- 7th

In the second race James lead the fleet of 31 for nearly two laps! And came 6th overall and I got a 5th.

The third race was terrible- very little wind and very hot. James got the highest placed sutton boat in this race with a 6th.

So overall
James Hill- 6th
Georgina Fletcher-7th
Matt Venables- 12th
Dan Ewers- 16th (and prize for first in silver fleet)
Robyn Goding-18th (prize for second in silver fleet)
Dan Venables- 20th (and got a prize for youngest male sailor)

Well done to everyone and thank you to all the adults for taking us and supporting us!
