Just a Thought.

This may be an old idea,but I'll run it up your flagpole anyway.As someone who is bringing up the rear of most races,I've noticed the same members at the front,or just behind me on their second lap.So could we have a race, every other week, once a month, oreven a third race with a mixture of novice and experienced crews drawn out of a bag just before the race.This would give valuable knowledge and tips to people like me! I think it may create closer racing and give the better sailors an insight into what chaos is going on behind (in our boat anyway).

2006/2007 Sailing Program

The 2006/2007 program from our Sailing Secretary (Alan Turner) has now been updated on the club website and a link to the program has been added to this blogsite for convenience.

Note also that the website contains a section called 'Help for the OOD' which contains some of the information that Alan has given us on Flags, Start Sequences etc. This is not finished yet but hopefully will be in the near future and at least a start has been made for Class Races.

This is a formal notice to the owner Mr M Dance of Enterprise boat number: 14725, Sail number: K-2115.

We have attempted to contact you in writing at your current listed address but have been informed you no longer reside there. If we do not receive contact from you within the next 28 days your boat will be removed from the club compound and disposed of by the best means possible in order to reclaime current fee's owed as stated in Club Rules.

If any person's knows of the whereabouts of Mr Dance please contact a commitee member asap.

Topper Training

On behalf of the Topper Fleet I would like to say a huge thank you to Steve Venables who did some training for us today.

Six boats were set up but only four of us did the racing as Megan and Robyn were a bit light for the conditions, so helped in the rescue boat. Although we all went over more than a few times.

This week we practised starts and boat handeling. We also played follow my leader which was good!

So thank you again Steve and Greg and Allan who were rescuing us!

So if you didnt come down this week, and you've got a Topper at the club why not come down next week and see what your missing out on.

It was the only one left so its age 5-6, but still fits me! whoo!
